Bernard
H. Berins has more than 40 years of experience and
is widely respected for his expertise in real estate
and various securities interests. He presently serves
on the Real Estate Law
Committee for the New Orleans Bar Association.
Mr. Berins is also well known for his practice in various business
entities, business
bankruptcy and related matters. He has successfully confirmed
many allegedly “non-confirmable” Chapter 11 Plans
of Reorganization. In addition, Mr. Berins has handled large
commercial transactions including leases, acquisitions, mergers
and bond issues. He has lectured on such topics as Family Limited
Partnerships, Successful Judgment Collections in Louisiana and
Advanced Real Estate Law in Louisiana. Mr. Berins, a native of
New Orleans, has volunteered his legal expertise to many charitable
institutions in the New Orleans area.
